My Name is Jordan the sole owner of Don’t Be Ordinary.

Here’s a little about me: I have been in the beauty industry since I was 13 years old starting out as a Saturday girl in a salon, making people feel better seems to be my thing!

12 years ago I became pregnant with my son, I was a scared late teen with no direction other than my passion for the industry. I decided to take the jump into the nail world where I have remained for the last 12 years.

From being little, I have had spiritual gifts and was extremely scared of it, I’ve often found it hard to ‘fit in’ and fit the ‘norm’ I’ve been called weird , crazy and all the rest.. now as an adult I realised I am an 'Indigo child', I was never meant to fit in but to stand in my own lane and be true to myself and to guide others.

In 2021 I had a huge loss personally, My amazing mum and Grandad who were always so supportive even when others weren't my entire life. My very own support system had gone overnight. I entered one of the darkest places and realised we should never be afraid of the dark as only the most beautiful things can be seen there. Think about it for a second, the moon is brightest on the darkest days, and the true beauty of lightning always needs a dark sky.

This is where Don’t be ordinary was born! A negative turned into a positive, a brand to help others on their darkest and lightest days. A place where no one has to ‘fit in’ but to accept their own uniqueness and shine bright and if you can’t we will help.

As the sole owner of the brand you may wonder why I refer to as ‘we’… most children have all the imagination in the world right? They want to be a police man , a nurse , a vet etc 😂. My son asked how do you even start a brand, a business ?. Do we have a future entrepreneur on our hands who knows! Also suffering from the loss I decided to let him be a huge part of the brand, each step of the way I have taught him how it’s done and he’s learning more and more as we go.  ‘We’ are a forever type of team.

Every day he asks do ‘we’ have any orders? Not only is it beneficial to learn the ropes, it teaches him that it’s ok to be ‘different’, some days are good some days are bad but that’s ok.

We are not just a nail brand we are a Self care brand, whether something is for you or a gift to a loved one we’ve got you covered, and we wish everybody who comes across us nothing but love, prosperity & success on their journey ✨
